Head: Media and Communications

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of SABRIC's strategic initiatives within the Media and Communications department.
  • Manage a team comprising the Media and Communications Coordinator, Digital Designer, Copywriter, and the Centre of Excellence (CoE).
  • Coach and counsel team members.
  • Create and manage an annual budget.
  • Align Media and Communications strategies with SABRIC's larger organizational goals and outcomes.
  • Identify ideal stakeholder profiles and map stakeholder journeys to pinpoint gaps in Media and Communications across all touchpoints.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to developing stakeholder service policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the technology team to ensure a seamless experience with digital tools (website, chatbot, self-service app).
  • Implement and optimize digital communication channels to enhance stakeholder engagement.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for stakeholders via phone, email, chat, and social media.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to stakeholder inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
  • Provide accurate information about our products or services.
  • Handle escalated stakeholder issues with empathy and a problem-solving mindset, striving for first-contact resolution whenever possible.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders by actively listening to their needs and concerns.

  • Collaborate with other functions to ensure a seamless stakeholder experience.
  • Collect, track, and analyse stakeholder feedback and suggest improvements based on insights gathered.
  • Provide reports, statistics, and analytical data to other departments, including product design, engineering, sales, marketing, and HR.
  • Stay up to date on product knowledge, industry trends, and best practices in stakeholder service and digital communication.

Requirements

  • Advanced Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Digital Marketing Certification: e.g. Certifications from recognized bodies such as Google, HubSpot, or the Digital Marketing Institute (DMI).
  • Experience with Data Analytics: Proficiency in using data analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau) to measure the effectiveness of communications strategies.
  • Crisis Communication Experience: Proven track record in managing communications during crises or emergency situations.
  • Experience with Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and other emerging technologies that can enhance communication strategies.
  • Multilingual Skills: Proficiency in additional languages relevant to the stakeholder

Personal Situation

  • Must be able to commute reliably and timely to office.
  • Should have a vehicle and driver’s licence.
  • Able to work extended hours when required.
  • Access to a stable fibre internet connection, preferably fibre with a bandwidth no less than 30Mpbs.
